The female politician also gave a remark about the management of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) on the issue. She said if the train doesn’t stall, there are fumes and leaks and asked why the agency wasn’t able to fix the problem within three years.

“Pag hindi tumirik, umuusok o tumutulo… hindi pa ba sapat ang tatlong taon para maisaayos ang problema?” she said.

According to the report, Poe questioned why a P22 billion budget for the rehabilitation wasn’t enough to fix the glitches of the transit.

“One cannot blame the Filipino people, especially the train passengers, for yearning for relief from the glitches that plague MRT-3’s operations.”

It is but just and right that we give them a ride that is safe, convenient and comfortable because the people deserve no less,” she added.
