First Interstellar Visitor In Our Solar System, Not An Alien Spacecraft

The First Interstellar Object To Visit The Solar System

FIRST INTERSTRELLAR – The first-ever recorded interstellar object to enter out solar system is not an alien spacecraft that came for Earth.

There has been quite a few discoveries in space recently, and some much awaited events for scientists, researchers and space fans were announced. Although some of it were scary, scientists are actually excited.

For instance, the asteroid Apophis is set to pass so close to the planet on April 13, 2029. And NASA is excited about it.

Back in 2017, space experts disclosed information about an interstellar object the named ‘Oumuamua’ which means ‘scout’ in Hawaiian.

This was revealed during University of Maryland press release.

The object apparently had the characteristics of both an asteroid and a comet. Experts named the object 1I/2017 U1.

Prior to the newly-released information, the earlier reports about the weird interstellar object made people believe that it was actually an alien spacecraft. It was, however, debunked after a new analysis published in Nature Astronomy’s journal, revealed that Oumuamua’s weird appearance could’ve been formed by natural causes.

This is the first time ever, that an interstellar object entered our solar system. And it was confirmed that it was not an alien spacecraft that came over to spy on the planet.

But it is still odd-looking and has to be studied.

Matthew Knight – University of Maryland’s associate research scientist – revealed that:

“We have never seen anything like ‘Oumuamua in our solar system. It’s really a mystery still. But our preference is to stick with analogs we know, unless or until we find something unique. The alien spacecraft hypothesis is a fun idea, but our analysis suggests there is a whole host of natural phenomena that could explain it.”

This is according to an article from Geek.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
