The Video Of This DJing Mom Reveals History Of Filipino American Music

VIRAL – Twitter user Dylan Gramlich shares a video of his mom DJing on a turntable she set up herself and it quickly went viral.

There is a very rich history of music worlwide. Music has been a huge part of people’s lives in the past as well. It has influenced so many people in positive ways.

Musicians in the past also had huge conributions to the society.

Meanwhile, back in June 1, Dylan Gramlich, noticing that his mom had set up a DJ turntable and mixer to casually make music. He decided to record his mom one day post the video as a pinned post on his twitter feed.

The video shows Dylan’s mother, Amy Gramlich – mixing Sage the Gemini’s “Gas Pedal” and City Girls’ “Act Up” with insane DJing skills. It has gained over 1.6 million views already and the Twitter responses literally broke Dylan’s phone that he needed to buy a new one.

Dylan says he was happy to see his mother being happy.

He also knew about his mother’s history being a DJ back in her days. But he was not aware of how much it mattered to her.

His mom also told him that she was a member of a DJ Crew with his aunties.

Amy Gramlich was actually part of The Gogos – a mobile DJ group named after the all-female band from L.A.

Mobile DJ groups, back in the 1980’s, were prominent among Filipino Americans in San Francisco Bay Area. The groups played for various events such as school dances, weddings, parties and other occasions.

Twiiter users, noticing Amy’s skills, shared positive comments about her mostly saying that ‘she still got it’.
