STAY AWAKE – Here are some tips and ways for you to fight sleepiness and stay awake naturally without consuming anything.

Sleeping is seemingly one of the major issues of every adult nowadays. They tend to get lesser and lesser time to sleep and rest, thus, resulting to badly affecting their work and efficiency in doing their tasks.

And here are some natural ways to fight it off minus the caffeine:

  • Move around – Based on a study conducted by Robert Thayer, PhD, participants who ate a candy bar have less energy and more tired compared to those who have 10-minute walk. Accordingly, walking pumps oxygen through your veins, brain, and muscles.
  • Take a nap – In taking a nap, don’t take more than one and don’t make it close to bedtime. When working, take naps during breaks. Allison T. Siebern, PhD, said that if you can’t nap, rest quietly and close your close for at least 10 minutes as it will help.

  • Give your eyes a break – Don’t take a long time with your eyes fixed on the computer screen as it might cause eyestrain and worsen the fatigue and sleepiness. Look away and relax your eyes periodically.
  • Healthy Snacks – Healthy foods to eat that helps boost your energy are: Peanut butter on a whole wheat cracker or celery sticks, Yogurt and a handful of nuts or fresh fruit, and Baby carrots with a low-fat cream cheese dip.

  • Make a conversation – Engage into a mind-boggling and interesting conversation to get your mind working.
  • Turn Up Lights – Bright lights accordingly increased alertness.
  • Drink water – Dehydration causes fatigue.
  • Exercise – Working out increases energy that’s why doing it before sleeping is not suggested for you not to be energized when trying to fall asleep.
