A Pinoy artist identified as Rommel Cadion created a stunning recycled straw mural of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

Over the past few years, the increasing amount of plastic pollution has been one of the major environmental problems not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world.

Several business establishments have already implemented the ‘Strawless’ policy with the aim to reduce plastic pollution.

Recently, a Filipino artist tries to help the environment by using recycled plastic straws to create a mural of President Duterte.

Rommel Cadion gathers plastic pollutants and cleaned them to create stunning artwork.

The 36-year-old artists find the right shades of color and glued them all together in a wooden board.

The talented sculptor created a portrait of President Duterte using garbage to help the waste pollution in the area.

Cadion has started experimenting with making art from pollution last year to help the environment.

“At first, I was just looking to create an artwork using garbage to help the waste problem in my town. I didn’t think that many people would appreciate my work, but people do. That’s why I have carried on. Recycling the straws is also helping the environment is it’s a positive situation,” Cadion said.
