Robert Downey Jr. Recruits Shark Attack Survivor For His Climate Change Coalition
ROBERT DOWNEY JR. – Actor Robert Downey Jr. sent a special message to the shark attack victim in North Carolina.
American actor Robert Downey is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie ‘Avengers.’
The 54-year-old Hollywood actor played as ‘Iron Man.’ His character is one of the most favorite superheroes in the top-rated movie.
MTV Awards in the US gave Robert Downey Jr. the “Best Hero” title for his excellent portrayal in his latest movie “Avengers: Endgame.”
‘Iron Man‘ is an innovator, billionaire industrialist and a genius who owns a powerful suit and helps the regular people.
It seems the actor has adopted his helpful character in real life.
Based on a report from Inquirer, Robert Downey Jr. gave a personal message to a 17-year-old girl who lost her leg in a shark attack in North Carolina on Tuesday.
The Hollywood actor uploaded a video addressed to Paige Winter on his official Instagram account.
He said the girl’s incident is “a heroic story of resilience.”
According to the report, Paige Winter was bitten by a bull shark at North Carolina’s Atlantic Beach last Sunday, June 2.
The teenager suffered severe wounds on her both hands and left leg during the attack. Paige’s father asked the ‘Avengers’ actor to follow his daughter on Instagram saying she’s his “biggest fan.”
Robert Downey Jr. granted Paige dad’s request. He even asked the teenager to be an ambassador for his Footprint Coalition. His advocacy aims to utilize high-tech equipment to clean the environment.
“You’re not alone… But not just because of folks who have had similar stuff to happen, but also because of your interest in sustainability and preservation of our oceans and marine life,” he said.
Based on the report, after the shark attack, Paige asked the people to support the shark and ocean conservancy.
The teenager hopes that her accident may encourage people to do something worthy for the environment.
