A senior citizen vendor who was happily selling bread at the footbridge of SM North Edsa is now making rounds on social media.
Nowadays, most companies and employers are refusing to accept old applicants claiming that they are less competent compared to younger employees.
Companies are not only setting age limits to applicants but also mandating old employees to retire at the age of 65 years old.
Most old people feel unwanted because of those policies since a lot of them still want to work to give some amount to their families.
However, some people believe that old people should embrace their retirement and enjoy the remaining time of their life.
Recently, a Facebook user named Benj Samson has shared the photos of an unidentified senior citizen selling bread on the footbridge of SM North EDSA.
In the photos, it can be seen that the old vendor was happily selling bread with a smile on his face.
The grandpa happily sells bread after netizens vowed to help him by buying his bread.
Samson captioned the post with:
“If u see Lolo on the footbridge of sm north edsa, buy from him pls even if u dont need to. Hardworking and good people like him deserves much more.”
