Philippines and China has been involved in countless issues over the years. Despite of both leaders recent talks for conflicts resolution, some people still bring the issue back to the table by doing publicity stunts.

Recently, a closed-capture television or CCTV footage shows three men supplying flags to vendors at Luneta park to be sold days before the Philippines’ Independence Day on June 12.

National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) released the footage which was then forwarded to ABS-CBN News. The footage shows the men giving the Chinese flags to local vendors nearby.

Faces of the suspects were caught by NPDC and the committee is currently working with the local police to proceed with the apprehension of the suspects.

The insinuation is that, the suspects move to sell Chinese flags was to ridicule President Duterte’s administration for developing relationships with Beijing.

The vendors who received the flags were caught by the NPDC and was delivered to the police office, however they were released eventually as they have not committed serious crimes.

This incident happened at Luneta park – one of the most visited spots in the Philippines – days before the celebration of the Philippines’ Independence Day on June 12.

This is according to an article from ABS CBN News.

Last year, several welcoming banners with “Welcome to the Philippines, Province of China.” were placed on several public overpasses all over the country. It took place as the Philippines just had its second anniversary after winning over China in an arbitral court.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
