Facebook Post Of A PMA Graduate Shows Young Erwin Tulfo After He Was Rescued
ERWIN TULFO – Philippine Military Academy (PMA) alumnus posted a photo of Tulfo with Army Scout Rangers after he was rescued.
In a recent post, the photo of Rolando Bautista with Erwin Tulfo made rounds online after it was posted by a PMAer.
Years ago, radio broadcaster Erwin Tulfo was rescued by Army Scout Rangers after the speedboat he was boarding sank near Jolo, Sulu.
Rolando Bautista – the current Social Welfare secretary – was part of the rescuing team that rescued Erwin Tulfo, who was still a newbie reporter when the incident happened.
PMA alumnus Nick Sotelo, posted the photo on Facebook, recalling the day when Erwin Tulfo was “rescued to safety by Philippine Army Scout Rangers while he was still a newbie broadcaster and his speedboat sunk somewhere near Jolo, Sulu.”
In the Facebooke post, Sotelo posted the captions introducing the people who rescued Tulfo in the past. The post also claimed that Tulfo allegedly cursed at the Social Welfare secretary on his radio show.
Part of the caption read:
“These were the Army Rangers, whom the good DSWD secretary belongs to, who saved the man in distress. The secretary, then at J-3 or Tradoc [Training and Doctrine Command] was the target of that foulmouthed ingrate, cursing & lambasting him on his radio program last week.”
The original source of the photo was a certain Andres Cabales.
This is according to an article from Philstar.
Sotelo also called for the public to share the post apparently wanting it to reach Tulfo’s radar. He said:
“Amnesia is indeed such a despicable disease!! Even worse, when coupled with an obnoxious bloodline. Please share so perhaps we can all jog this ill-mannered b*****d’s memory into remembering who he owes his life to.”
That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
