#Shopeescam topped the Twitter trend on June 6 due to alleged scamming of Shopee
Fans of famous K-Pop group Blackpink made the #shopeescam trend on Twitter because of the alleged scamming that Shopee did to them.
According to the posts of several Blinks (Blackpink’s fans), the online store had a promo for Top 40 Spenders. Those who have the highest amount of purchase will secure a ticket for the K-Pop group’s meet and greet.
However, fans stated on their Twitter posts that some of them already spent 80 to 200 thousand pesos but they were not given tickets.
Some, allegedly, were notified that they got in but a day prior to the event their tickets were revoked.
This scenario broke the hearts of the avid fans of Blackpink who were anticipating to see them that day.
Some social media posts stated that fans even came from far provinces and were eager to go to Manila just to have a glimpse of their idol.
However, when the meet and greet took place, many were disappointed that they haven’t had the chance to have photos with the Korean singers and worst some of them expected that they will have a ticket.
A post on Twitter account @TheOliKen also questioned why celebrities and influencers were allowed to take videos and photos during the event while the “contest winners were treated like criminals.”
The post has this elaboration regarding the alleged scam that Shopee did to Blackpink fans.
Meanwhile, here are some of the grievances from the fans of the famous K-Pop group.
Because of this, some fans are encouraging others not to purchase from Shopee anymore.
