LRTA Suspends Operation of LRT-2 Following Sudden Stop
LRT-2 – The operation of the Manila Light Rail Transit System 2 is currently suspended following a sudden stop.
One of the major means of transportation in Luzon is train. A lot of people are availing the services of the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) daily in going to work, school, and their destination.
Aside from the fast travel, many avid passengers of the LRT in Manila like the convenience it offers. However, like other vehicles, there are also times that it is faced with technical problems.
Recently, a news report related to it crossed the surface.
Based on a recent report in ABS-CBN News, the operation of the LRT-2 is temporarily suspended now.
According to the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), there is a technical problem leading to the suspension of its operation. The company is apologizing over the inconvenience it brought to the passengers.
LRTA assured that they are already working on the technical problem.
Based on the report, some passengers claimed that they are bound to Recto from Santolan. However, just shortly after the train left the Anonas Station in Quezon City, it stopped.
The train was forced to get back to Anonas Station and the passengers were asked to get off from it.
As of this writing, there are still no further information regarding the matter.
