In a separate report, a P60M ad deal was agreed by Bitag Media’s Ben Tulfo with former tourism secretary Wanda Teo. The deal was made last year.

Last Tuesday, the palace reiterated their statement for the Department of Justice (DOJ) to take actions in getting the P60 million pesos from Bitag Media Unlimited Incorporated back. The amount was paid by the Department of Tourism (DOT) for ad placements at a government network PTV-4.

The siblings Wanda Corazon Tulfo Teo, Bienvenido “Ben” T. Tulfo and Erwin T. TulfoErwin T. Tulfo were criticized severly because of the deal.

Wanda Corazon Tulfo Teo was the chief of tourism back when the deal was made. While her brother Bienvenido “Ben” T. Tulfo owns Bitag Media Unlimited Inc and Erwin Tulfo was a PTV-4 broadcaster.

When asked for an update on the on-going case during a press briefing last Tuesday, the Presidential Spokesperson responded:

“Then DOJ will have to do something about it.”

Panelo also mentioned about the palace’ preference to uphold the law in his statement:

“The Palace always wants that laws are not only enforced but are obeyed to its fullest extent. As we said, there are no sacred cows in this government, friends or allies.”

This is according to an article from MSN.

He also said that the resolution of the matter would depend on the justice department when asked about how soon the palace wants the amount returned to the government.

He maintained that it’s the DOJ’s move, saying:

“…it’s their call, they will have to do something legally about it.”

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
