Bb. Pilipinas 2019 candidate Vickie Rushton from Negros Occidental caught the attention of many netizens because of her national costume.
Vickie is not a newbie in the world of pageantry. She has been joining local pageant in her province before she competed for the national pageant in 2018. Vickie ended the pageant as the Top 5 finalist.
For the second time, she represents the Negrenses in Bb. Pilipinas and hope to get the crown this year and to represent the country in the international competition.
In this year’s competition, undoubtedly, Vickie Rushton is one of the strongest contenders.
With her beauty and wit, plus her pageant experience, she somehow had a head start.
Last May 29, the National Costume fashion show was held which showcased the artistry representing the Filipino culture.
One of the most applauded candidates was the candidate from Negros Occidental. Vickie wore the costume made by designer Jomar Peralta from Umingan, Pangasinan.
According to the FB profile of the fashion designer, he is a chief operating officer at House of Victoria by Jomar Peralta and Events Emporium.
Peralta collaborated with Vickie for the design of the “Diwata” national costume. The Negrense beauty queen shared about this on her Intagram post.
“Congratulations and thank you to my Kuya Jomar Peralta. Thank you po for putting soooo much effort in making this costume, for traveling back and forth from Pangasinan, for spending sleepless nights just yo meet the deadline, and most of all thank you for allowing me to share my own ideas,” she said.
