James Reid Withdraws ‘Pedro Penduko’ Movie Due To This Reason
JAMES REID – Kapamilya actor James Reid backs out of ‘Pedro Penduko‘ movie due to his alarming condition.
Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate James Reid is considered one of the brightest stars in ABS-CBN network.
The 26-year-old celebrity is currently dating his on-and-off screen partner Nadine Lustre.
James Reid and Nadine Lustre have starred in several movies and tv series including “Talk Back and You’re Dead,” “Never Not Love You,” “On The Wings Of Love,” and “Til I Met You.”
In 2017, the actor-heartthrob was chosen to play the remake of the Filipino superhero, Pedro Penduko. It was announced during the HISTORY Con at the World Trade Center.
Recently, Reid decided to drop the role due to health reasons.
Based on a report from Manila Bulletin, James Reid’s home studio Viva Films confirmed his withdrawal to the tv series in a statement on Friday, May 31.
They said the Kapamilya actor has been training intensely for the role. He obtained a spinal injury due to his parkour and martial arts training.
“Viva Films regretfully announces that it has accepted the withdrawal of James Reid from the movie Pedro Penduko for medical reasons. James has spinal injuries and the film Pedro Penduko involves intensive training and major stunts.”
“His regular therapy and treatment prohibit him to train hard or perform for the rigid requirements,” it added.
According to the report, Viva Films respected James Reid’s decision and wished him a speedy recovery.
“James has spent over a year training and getting ready for this film and Viva truly appreciates his dedication and commitment to this project,” Viva Films said.
Based on the report, James Reid and his girlfriend Nadine Lustre will instead do a movie together titled “Spellbound” said the company.
