Sanya Lopez is Open To Audition For ‘Darna’
SANYA LOPEZ – Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez said she’s open to audition for ‘Darna’ role.

The role was then given to the young actress Liza Soberano. She went into training and prepare herself for the role.
However, Liza Soberano withdrew from the project due to the finger injury she obtained during the taping of her fantaserye ‘Bagani.’
Lots of her fans were saddened by the news. Most of them expressed that she would be perfect for the role.
Currently, the ABS-CBN and Star Cinema continue the search for the next Pinay superhero ‘Darna.’
In a previous article, GMA talent Jerald Napoles suggested that her fellow Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez is fit for the role.
“I kinda agree that Sanya Lopez is one of the top (if not the top) contenders to be the next “Darna,” said Napoles.
Based on a report from Inquirer, Sanya Lopez was asked about her reaction on being one of the suitable actresses to play Darna.
“I’m flattered that there are people who want me to be Darna, because she’s such a strong and empowered woman. She’s an iconic superhero—it’s unlike any other character. Whoever gets the job will have a big responsibility,” she answered.
According to the report, Sanya Lopez also shared that she had a background in action scenes.
“I have always loved doing fight scenes. I was quite boyish growing up, because I usually played with my brother (Jak Roberto) and other male cousins,” Lopez said.
Based on the report, the Kapuso actress also said she’s willing to audition for the role if her tv network and bosses will allow her.
“If they do open the auditions to GMA 7 and our bosses allow me to go try out, then why not? I’m not closing my doors…It’s a kind of role you really have to prepare for,” she said.
