GRETCHEN BARRETTO – Gretchen Barretto proud of her partner for receiving an award given to the Cinemalaya Foundation Inc.
“Allow me to say , I am utterly Proud of my Tony💕Cinemalaya,” says Gretchen Barretto in a post after her partner Tonyboy Cojuangco received the 24th Nikkei Asia Prize for the Cinemalaya Foundation Inc. According to the certificate, this is “in recognition of its tireless efforts to discover gifted filmmakers and invigorate the Philippine film industry by organizing a big independent film festival.”
For roughly 25 years already, Gretchen and Tonyboy have been together – happier and stronger – amid the controversies surrounding their relationship. A lot of people have said that they won’t last but it seems like they have proven them wrong. Greta, in his message to partner, has said in a post, “My Tony being 19 years older, coming from a wealthy family, a respected businessman and brilliant one to say the least. Me being an actress, coming from the extreme opposite side of the world & yes, of a different breed & class. But hey, here we are, through it all, I guess it’s safe for me to say that, true love CONQUERS ALL.”
They are blessed with one daughter, Dominique, who is a fashion designer. She would love to get married to him for all the right reasons but she has then also accepted that it might not happen anymore. It is because his marriage with equestrienne, Denise Yabut-Cojuangco hasn’t been annulled.
In a viral video, she even said that she is happy being a mistress of Tonyboy and never denied it. She said, “Sasabihin nilang kabit, aaminin ko for the past 23 or almost 24 years, opo, kabit po ako ni Tonyboy Cojuangco. I never denied it.”
