KCC to conduct the first-ever K Street Festival in BGC
The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) is set to hold the first-ever K Street Festival on May 31 to June 1 at the C1 Park, Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City.
Korean culture is indeed infused to the modern Filipinos now. Admit or not, Pinoys are fond of Korean dramas, songs, and even fashion.
There will be a lot of fun activities that will surely entertain and give enjoyment to everyone.
Visitors can go to various sections such as K-Pop, K-drama, art, tourist spots, food, and beauty products.
Pinoys and people from other countries will have a chance to know more things about Koreans in these aspects.
Aside from this, there will be exciting games also.
In addition, Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team from South Korea, SB19 and the 2018 Pinoy K-Pop Star winners K-IDLE, Kaiju-x, Mix’in, John Paul Manuel, Sandra dela Cruz, and Venisse Nicole Siy, will give entertain for the attendees.
KCC “wants Filipinos to learn and appreciate Korean culture, not just by watching movies or K-dramas, but also by attending this kind of event,” Director Lee Jincheol told the Philippine News Agency (PNA).
Lee added that KCC aims to a hold bigger cultural shows this year to celebrate the friendship between South Korea and the Philippines.
Last February, the center held the “Strokes: Beautiful Korean Calligraphy” exhibit and the 2019 K-Pop Friendship Concert in Manila last March was a big hit.
For the upcoming K Street Festival, there will be hanbok wearing station, as well as cooking demonstrations, just like what happens in Korean Culture Caravan that goes to schools.
Festival attendees who will visit all the seven sections will have a chance to win raffle prizes, based on the report.
This event is open for everybody and admission is free.
