The Election 2019 counting of votes is over and the results were out. However, there are still ongoing issues related to the results of the political bid.

Among those bids whose results were not willingly accepted by a lot of people is the local government election in Taguig.

Outgoing Taguig Representative Arnel Cerafica and television director Lino Cayetano faced in the mayoralty race. The TV personality won as mayor of Taguig.

Opposing the results, the supports of Cerafica gathered along C5 and it caused a gridlock traffic in the area. There were thousands of people who showed their disapproval of the election results.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, in line with the clogging of C5, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is thinking about filing a case against those individuals who caused the traffic in C5.

Speaking to DZMM, the office’s General Manager Jojo Garcia expressed that around 3,000 supporters of Cerafica gathered on the national road.

“Pinag-aaralan ng mga abogado natin sa MMDA kung ano pwede natin i-kaso diyan,” he said.

Based on the report, the MMDA General Manager expressed that they might file charges due to obstruction, illegal parking, and everything that is applicable on the situation.

“Sa mga tao, kung may ma-identify tayo, kahit jaywalking kakasuhan ‘yan kasi nakaharang sila diyan,” Garcia expressed.

The General Manager further expressed that there is an agency for election complaints in case they cannot accept the results. He stressed that it should not be brought to the road most especially the national road.
