Bikoy Video Uploader Rodel Jayme Pleads “Not Guilty” On Inciting To Sedition Case
BIKOY VIDEO – Uploader of the “Bikoy” video pleaded not guilty to a charge inciting to sedition.
On May 2, 2019, the uploader of the controversial “Real Narcolist” linking President Duterte’s family to the illegal drug syndicate was arrested.
The anonymous man “Bikoy” accused Paolo Duterte, Kitty Duterte, Atty. Manases Carpio, and Bong Go of being involved on the Philippine drug syndicate.
In a previous article, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) filed sedition raps to the sharer or uploader of the controversial video.
Bikoy uploader Rodel Jayme is also the administrator of the Metrobalita.net. The authorities said they will dig deeper information about the people who are behind the controversial videos.
“There is continuity of their efforts to conduct their scurrilous libelous attacks against the Government… these attacks are planned and with the backing from certain personalities,” said the NBI.
Based on a report from Inquirer, the Bikoy uploader pleaded “not guilty” on the sedition raps filed by the Department of Justice on Tuesday.
Rodel Jayme also denied his involvement on the plan of overthrowing the Duterte administration.
He said he doesn’t even participate much in setting up the website. He said he was just paid by some personalities to do so.
The hearing was held at the Parañaque court. The sharer violated the Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act.
According to the report, Judge Noemi Balitaan of Parañaque Regional Trial Court Branch 258 ordered the Bikoy uploader’s transfer from the NBI to the Parañaque City Jail.
Rodel Jayme said he’s okay to become a government witness to point the personalities who are masterminded the Bikoy videos.
