Vice Ganda fired back to bashers
Comedian-host Vice Ganda received criticisms for his “pag-shoshopping” and he had a fierce retaliation to his critics.
Vice recently shared a tweet with this content: “Andaming nag aaway, andaming galit andaming nagkakagulo sa twitter, sa fb sa ig. Valakayojen!!!! Shopping muna ko. More shoes! More outfit! More fun! My life is sooooo good!”
Unfortunately, this did not sit well with several netizens and they bashed the It’s Showtime host.
Some netizens called him “priviledged” and “insensitive”. With this, Vice Ganda offered his critics a fierce retaliation.
He addressed those “woke”, the social media term for people who are immensely aware of issues concerning social justice and racial justice.
The comedian-host stressed out that he is not just the only person doing the shopping and so why other people are making a big fuss out of it.
He added that he has his the capability to buy what he wants because he is working hard to earn and have a comfortable life.
Vice also showed a screenshot of the negative comments he received because of his “pag-shoshopping”.
The Gandang Gabi Vice host also tagged Anne Curtis in his sarcastic post to “woke and woke-wokan”.
“Ok it’s 8:20am here in Calgary. I gotta take a bath na at magsha-shopping ako ulit. Eto kasing si
@annecurtissmith masyadong ‘PRIVILEGED’ nagpapabili ng Chanel. Pasok mga pa-WOKE bash nyo na si Anne! lelllzzzzzz [laugh emojis],” he said.
On the other hand, fans of the unkabogable star defended him from his bashers.
“I give a lot of empathy to my patients as a nurse bcoz that’s part of my job & I so love to shop when I am stressed from work or some other things. SHOPPING DOES NOT MAKE A PERSON LOSE EMPATHY. It is not even connected with each other.Hahah! Nainggit lang yan. Haters gonna hate,” Twitter user @maannsmurf commented.
