Lea Salonga Intriguing Post On Instagram Sparks Argument Online

What could be the post of Lea Salonga all about?

LEA SALONGA – The Broadway singer Lea Salonga has this intriguing post online that caught social media attention and sparked argument online.

Articles 256, 258, and 259 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines states to imprison women who have committed abortion and the person involved in the procedure.

Now, with such sensitive issue still making rounds in the society and among that’s highly-debated, the Broadway actress Lea Salonga said that if one is against this, have a vasectomy. Vasectomy, according to Urology Care Foundation, “is minor surgery to block sperm from reaching the semen that is ejaculated from the p*n*s”. Meaning, the fluid is still there but it does not have sperm in it.

Here’s the post of the international singer about the vasectomy as seemingly the answer if one is against abortion:

With this, earning various comments from the people of the particular social media platform, one commenter indicated, “Eveybody is entitled to their opinion. I disagree with you on this one, Lea. Everytime a woman chooses abortion, a life, not hers is ended. We may disagree on when life begins. But that “clump of cells” is a human being in the making.”

But here’s the response of the internationally-renowned singer to this comment, “For the record, I’m not an advocate of abortion. However, I’d like to think that I have the autonomy to decide what I can do for myself and my health care. It’s not up to me to decide what is right for another woman. Sure I have a uterus, but it’s not up to me to make difficult choices for other women whose lives will differ from mine. That is all.”
