Man & Daughter Drown in Isabela River Amid Some Bonding Time w/ Loved Ones

MAN – A 48-year-old father and his daughter drowned in a river in the province of Isabela.

Accidents can happen anywhere whether we are on land, on air, or in the waters. It can occur even amid the happy moments we are spending with our loved ones just like what recently happened to a father and his daughter in Isabela.

Based on a recent report in Inquirer, a 48-year-old father identified as Loreto Salas Jr. was out with his family and friends including his daughter to a picnic near a river in Isabela province.

The father is a tricycle driver. His daughter was identified as Mia Marloleth Salas and they are living in Santo Tomas town.

According to the police authorities, the family were specifically near Pinacanauan River in the municipality of Cabagan. The daughter swam going towards the deep end of the body of water.

Unfortunately, Mia was swallowed by the water and her father tried to save her. The 48-year-old tricycle driver was also dragged by the strong current of water in the river.

Based on the report, the bodies of the man and his daughter were found by the fishermen and they were rushed to Milagros Albano District Hospital. However, they were declared dead on arrival.
