Enchong Dee slams silent celebrities.

ENCHONG DEE – The Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee speaks about those celebrities who kept their silence the past non-election years and now voicing out their dismay.

This May 2019 poll gives another shot of chance to people to choose the leaders they think are the best for the country. And among the sensational talk about a couple of days after the election is the inclusion of this certain actor and politician being on the Top 12 of senators despite the fact that he just got out of prison due to his involvement in the Pork Barrel Scam.

As of 10 A.M. today, here are the 13 senatorial candidates who made it on top of the list based on partial and unofficial results as per previous report:

  1. Villar, Cynthia – 24,702,731
  2. Poe, Grace – 21,592,234
  3. Go, Bong – 20,043,764
  4. Cayetano, Pia – 19,309,786
  5. Dela Rosa, Bato – 18,424,175
  6. Angara, Sonny – 17,757,700
  7. Lapid, Lito – 16,604,258
  8. Marcos, Imee – 15,496,049
  9. Tolentino, Francis – 15,078,777
  10. Revilla, Bong – 14,277,937
  11. Pimentel, Koko – 14,272,196
  12. Binay, Nancy – 14,233,462
  13. Ejercito, Estrada JV – 13,991,010

These candidates have their respective celebrity endorsers during their campaign. Why are they picking celebrities as their endorser? It is because of the wide influence and popularity of these personalities. And with this, if these stars are really concerned over the future of the country, they can use their voice to speak up for the people about problems.

However, some were seemingly afraid to speak as they could immediately be the subject of criticisms and bashing after speaking up and worse, it would badly affect their career. And the Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee, among those who are brave and vocal to political issues, lambasted these silent celebrities.

Dee said in his post, “A celebrity who prefers to stay silent during non-election years, and prefers popularity over socio-political conversations, for me, is very much late to voice out their dismay.”

And here are some of the comments of the netizens to this:

They care more about their likes and followers. Very sad. Maybe when there’s no one left to give them those internet points then that’s when they’ll start to care.

Hahahhahaha! Grabe ka friend! Pero totoo too late na nga lang. Siguro natakot siya. Tapos sa huli na lang niya narealize.

Kaya bilib ako sayo e. Meron ka paninindigan. Mas mabuti pa nga yung diehard dds at least may malinaw na side. Kesa yung mga tahimik dati tapos ngayon dismayado daw.

What can you say about this?
