DFA Secretary Ready To Help Dismayed Pinoys Looking To Migrate

The Department Of Foreign Affairs Secretary Said He Is Willing To Help Filipinos Migrate

DFA SECRETARY – Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin said he is willing to help dismayed Filipinos who want to migrate to another country.

This is following the reports that many Filipinos were disappointed of the election results and looked up the keywords ‘migrate’ and ‘migration’ apparently looking to live in another country.

According to a data analysis report recently, the Google Trends data showed a surge of the number of searches of the keywords ‘migrate’ and ‘migration’ just after the initial unofficial results were released.

Responding to this, Teddy Locsin retweeted the CEO of Rappler Maria Ressa’s post about how a lot of dismayed Filipinos were mentioning about migrating.

In a twitter post he shared, Teddy Locsin expressed his willingness to help together with his colleague in his caption:

“Bebot Bello and I will help. It’s our job. We will expedite.”

This is according to an article from Pinoy Trend.

The post immediately got off and spread all over social media platforms and even reached media outlets and news providers.

In the post, several netizens expressed their opinions towards the ‘people wanting to migrate’ situation through the comments:

“Sure sir, hoping you could provide the airfare too. As you know, everything has gotten quite expensive lately, so it’s hard enough for me to provide for a family of 5, much less save up for travel costs. 🙂 TIA!” – Twitter user @maanpamaran

“Double time & expedite the applications of these foreign-funded media scalawags. Let them ply their trade somewhere else.” – Twitter user @JMF0927

“The beauty of democracy! You may now leave as you please as the majority has spoken… Respect the choice of majority as we respect your intentions to migrate. You have the support of DFA to materialize your intentions… Migrate na dali[Hurry and migrate]!!!” – Twitter user @JannaMari08

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
