This Running Candidate For Mayor In Quezon City Arrested By Quezon City Police
QC CANDIDATE – Quezon City Mayoral Candidate Vincent Crisologo or Bingbong, was arrested by local police authorities for obstruction of Justice.

Obstruction of Justice is the act of crime defined as interfering with the process of attaining justice and law by any way including: influencing, threatening, harming, or impeding a witness, potential witness, juror, or judicial or legal officer or by furnishing false information.
Sunday evening, Crisologo was apprehended in Barangay BahayToro in Quezon City. Arrested with him, is his son, Attorney Edrix Crisologo and 44 supposedly election watchers.
Following the apprehension, they were transferred to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District.
The Mayoral Cadidate and his son Edrix faces multiple charges including:
- obstruction of justice,
- unjust vexation,
- disobedience and
- resisting arrest resulting in physical injury and grave coercion.
The arrest was carried with regards to the alleged vote buying of his group.
According to Quezon City police, two police officers from their department posed as Quezon City residents to stand in wait in an area near the house where P300 cash were given out in exchange for their votes.
After a while in the operation they were invited by a person allegedly from Crisologo’s team inside the house and they were given cash and Crisologo’s photo.
The crowd eventually began to suspect the two officers and a commotion began. They called Crisologo to inform him of the incident.
After Crisologo arrived, he phoned the police’ office to confirm whether the operation is legit.
Police commander Lt. Col. Alex Alberto later on arrived at the scene and immediately ordered the arrest.
This is according to an article from ABS-CBN News.
On his defense, a video was posted on Crisologo’s Facebook page.
In the video he explained the incident in which he said:
“Pagdating namin, sinabihan namin yung pulis, ‘Bakit sila nag-trespass? Dumating ‘yung commander nila, si Colonel Alberto, talagang inaresto kami lahat. Pati ako inaresto. Basta pinosasan na lang kami. Dito mo makikita na pati pulis, nagagamit na ng mga kalaban namin sa politika. [When we got there, we asked the cop why they trespassed. Their commander arrived as well, and really arrested us all. Including me. We were just handcuffed. Here you can see, that even the cops are being used by our rivals in politics.”
That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
