BANGSAMORO HUMAN RIGHTS INVESTIGATOR – Former television reporter Archad Ayao who is now an HR investigator was shot in Cotabato City.

Recently, another heartbreaking and alarming news report about attacks launched by unidentified persons crossed the surface. This time, the victim is a member of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR).

Based on a report on Philstar, Bangsamoro Human Rights Investigator Archad Ayao was shot in Cotabato City by men riding on a motorcycle. The suspects were able to escape from the area.

Ayao was a former local reporter under the ABS-CBN and he has also worked as a civilian writer for the Philippine Army’s 6th Infantry Division’s civil-military relations office.

The 28-year-old former TV reporter is an investigator in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s regional CHR for more than three(3) years.

Based on the report, the Bangsamoro HR Investigator had a companion identified as Pio Orteza when the incident happened. They were riding on a motorcycle on Ramon Rabago Avenue when the suspect launched their motives.

Reportedly, both Ayao and Orteza did not survive the incident. The authorities are seeing the possibility that only Ayao was the target. Currently, the investigation is on going. We’ll keep you posted for updates.
