POPE FRANCIS – On Monday in Vatican City, Pope Francis urged the hairdressers, stylist, and beauticians to stop gossiping while at work.
The current pope, Pope Francis previously admitted that there are abusive priest during his speech in Dubai.
In a previous article, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte reacted on the issue saying, “The Pope is in Dubai…he admitted yesterday na ‘yung mga madre, ‘yun angkonsumo ng mga pari.”
Due to Pope Francis’ statements, President Duterte calls for a reformation in the Roman Catholic Church.
Meanwhile, in Vatican City, the pope welcomed hairstylist, beauticians, and hairdressers on Monday.
Based on a report from GMA New, Pope Francis warned the representatives of the association of stylist saying they should initiate their profession in a “Christian style.”
“Practice your profession in a Christian style, treating customers with kindness and courtesy, and always offering them a good word and encouragement,” he said.
According to the report, Pope Francis said in front of the Vatican audience that cosmetologist should follow their patron saint Peruvian Martin de Porres.
De Porres is a barber-surgeon in the 16th-century. He did some miracles like levitation, instant cures and communicate with animals.
Aside from that, he is also a saint for the mixed-race people, a health worker, and an innkeeper.
Based on the report, the pope said all the beauticians, hairstylist and hairdressers can do their profession with decency and inspire the people in their community.
“Each of you, in your professional work, can always act with righteousness, thus making a positive contribution to the common good of society,” he said.
We can’t deny that there really is gossip everywhere and not just the in the barbershops. The pope only hopes that we can avoid ourselves indulging and say some negative words towards other people.
