Pope Francis the easier and no payment process of filing for annulment on Catholic Churches.

The head of the Roman Catholic Church and the 266th Pope, Pope Francis, had his Papal inauguration last March 2013 at the St. Peter’s Square in Vatican. In January 2015, the Pope visited the Philippines last January 2015.

Based on a report from GMA, Pope Francis made reforms regarding the annulment filing process of Roman Catholics. The Pope wrote it in a letter and announced it in Vatican last 2015.

Based on the report, regarding the Santo Papa’s letter, it is said that the annulment would now only require one approval from the church tribunal rather than two.

It is also stated in the letter that access to hearings and the most straightforward cases will not cost anything.

“Streamlining annulment process will ease a prolonged misery and suffering of couples… when the evidence for annulment is blatantly clear,” said Pope Francis based on the report.

Based the report of ABS-CBN, Archbishop Emeritus Oscar Cruz in the Philippines supported with gladness the new annulment filing process of Pope Francis.

He said it is an advantage to make it easier. The process for marriage nullity declaration can be shortened as the current process is quite complicated.

The Archbishop also expressed that an annulment has always been expensive and could take a very long time.

The new announcement by the Vatican will shorten the process and will only take about 2 months or less for the annulment to be granted
