Christmas Break Schedule For School Year 2019-2020 Released by DepEd
The Department of Education (DepEd) released the Christmas break schedule for the school year 2019-2020 in public elementary and highschools.
The Education Department has released the official calendar announcing the schedules of activities for school year 2019-2020.
DepEd also announced that the opening of classes for public elementary and high schools nationwide would be on June 3, 2019.
Education Secretary Leonor Briones said that the school calendar in public schools may be adjusted due to the observance of both local and national holidays.
The Christmas break for school year 2019-2020 was scheduled on December 15, 2019 until January 5, 2020 based on the memorandum released by DepEd.
Natural and man-made calamities would also cause unplanned suspension of classes and make-up classes are recommended.
“The conduct of such activities must be agreed upon by the school heads, teachers and concerned parents,” Briones said.
The classes for this school year would end on April 3, 2020, after the 203 school days.
