Still Unidentified Persons Shot Samar Barangay Chairman in his House
SAMAR BARANGAY CHAIRMAN – A barangay captain of Barangay Beri in Calbigan, Samar was shot in his house.
The series of politicians faced with unexpected attacks continues and, unfortunately, many people already lost their lives. Among the most recent is the case of a councilor in Negros Occidental.
Michael Garcia, a councilor in Moises Padilla, was shot together by a still unidentified person. Aside from him, his nephew also fell as victim to the incident. Both of them did not survive the incident.
Recently, another saddening and alarming incident crossed the surface.
Based on an article on ABS-CBN News, a Samar barangay chairman identified as Wilmar Calutan was shot in his house in Barangay Beri in Calbiga.
Reportedly, it was found out in the initial investigation that the suspects were wearing bonnets when they went to the house of the barangay chairman for their motives.
The suspects in the incident were able to escape. According to the report, currently, the investigation is still ongoing and the authorities are still looking into the matter to find out the people responsible over the incident and the motives of the suspects.
