List of Areas Where NGCP May Implement the “Manual Load Dropping”

NGCP – The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines may implement “Manual Load Dropping” in the different areas in Luzon today, April 25, 2019.

Currently, several parts of Luzon are suffering from power shortage and the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines is doing its best to address the issue. Red and Yellow Alerts were declared in several areas since yesterday.

This morning, an announcement that the Luzon grid is under Red Alert from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM crossed the surface. From 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and 9:00 PM, the region is under Yellow Alert.

Recently, the government corporation posted an update on the power issue in Luzon grid now.

Based on the recent social media post on Philippine News Agency, the NGCP may implement “Manual Load Dropping” or MLD in several areas in Luzon between 1:00 – 2:00 pm today.

Due to the possible implementation of MLD, power interruptions may arise in the different areas in the following provinces according to the post:

  • Isabela
  • Quirino
  • La Union
  • Tarlac
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Batangas
  • Albay
  • Metro Manila

On its official page, the NGCP is reminding the consumers of electricity in Luzon to exercise prudence in using it amid the low power reserves now.
