Unauthorized Access Detected On GetGo Application Server

CEBU PACIFIC – The Cebu Pacific Air confirmed that there was an unauthorized access to their GetGo application server.

Nowadays, even the airlines have utilized the advancement in technology. A lot of airlines in the Philippines including Cebu Pacific have put up websites and ready servers to cater online services.

Through online, the passengers may book their flights and they may also earn rewards through the CEB GetGo everytime they book a flight.

Meanwhile, like the many instances in other giant companies before, there may be a possibility that an unauthorized access may happen.

That is what recently happened to the GetGo application server of Cebu Pacific. Meanwhile, there are security measures implemented for the safety of the clients.

Through its official Facebook page, the Cebu Pacific Air confirmed that an unauthorized access to its CEB GetGo application server was detected so it is temporarily disabling the log-in.

Based on the post, both log-ins to GetGo through the website and the GetGo mobile app are currently unavailable for the safety of everyone.

Meanwhile, despite the incident, the public has nothing to worry about as the airline also confirmed that credit card information were not stored on the breached server.

The investigation is currently on the move and all the GetGo channels will remain temporarily unavailable while it is ongoing.

According to the airline, they have already informed the National Privacy Commission (NPC) about it and they are already looking into the matter.
