India Hit by Earthquake with 6.1 Magnitude

EARTHQUAKE – The United States Geological Survey recorded a 6.1 magnitude quake in Northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh in India.

Most of the time, quakes hit with no prior signs. Recently, several places in and out of the Philippines were shaken by quakes of different magnitudes.

One of the latest strong quakes recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) is the 7.1 magnitude quake in Davao Oriental, Philippines.

There were expected aftershocks due to the said quake and a tsunami advisory was released.

Recently, the US Geological Survey recorded a quake in a part of India.

Earthquake

Based on a report on PhilStar, the weather bureau recorded that India was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 today, April 24, 2019.

Based on the article, the weather bureau said that the quake was located about 40 kilometers southeast of Along and 180 kilometers southwest of Itanagar.

Reportedly, the quake hit a part of the Indian nation at 1:45 am (2015 GMT Tuesday).

As to the USGS, there is a low chance that the quake caused deaths or damages.

There are still no reports as to whether there are aftershocks expected due to the strong quake or none. We’ll keep you posted for updates or further information.
