Class Suspensions on Wednesday (April 24)

Several local government units have declared class suspensions for Wednesday after a powerful tremor struck Eastern Samar.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) announced that a magnitude 6.5 earthquake hits Eastern Samar on Tuesday afternoon (April 23, 2019).

The tremor was initially recorded at magnitude 6.2 quake but eventually raised to 6.5 magnitude.

The quake’s epicenter was located at San Julian, Eastern Samar with a depth of 63 kilometers, according to the seismology agency.

Recently, the local government of Eastern Samar declared class suspensions for Wednesday (April 24, 2019).

The suspensions of classes and operations have been declared after the magnitude 6.2 quake hits Eastern Samar.
