Latest Weather Updates in PH Released by PAGASA
The state weather bureau PAGASA released the newest and the latest weather updates in the country for today.
On Saturday (April 13, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported the current weather condition.
PAGASA said that some parts of the country could expect some relief from the extreme heat during the weekends.
The weather agency said that the easterlies would continue to affect the weather condition over the Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The easterlies would bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the Visayas, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro.
Pagasa weather forecaster Joey Figuracion said that they find difficulties in predicting the time and location of rain.
Figuracion also explained that the extreme hot temperatures during day time causes rapid rate of evaporation resulting to thunderstorms.
“Because it is hot from morning to noon, whatever moisture is in the surroundings evaporates quickly. The evaporation causes bigger clouds, and this is the reason for these isolated thunderstorms,” Figuracion
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the Visayas, Palawan and Occidental Mindoro would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
