KELSEY MERRITT – Model Kelsey Merrit’s American boyfriend Conor Dwyer obtains head injury while surfing in Siargao.
Fil-Am model Kelsey Merritt is known for being the first Pinay to ever walk in the prestigious runway of Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
Pinoy fashion fans went ecstatic after learning that the Filipina model will be one of the VS angels.
A few weeks ago, Kelsey Merrit went back to the Philippines and said she wanted to eat Filipino street food.
“First thing back in Manila! Filipino street food,” the model said.
Keysey Merrit spent a vacation on the beautiful islands in the country including Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao.
The VS model was accompanied by her boyfriend American swimmer Conor Dwyer. While surfing in Siargao, her boyfriend sustained a head injury.
Kelsey’s boyfriend disclosed that his head required eight stiches but he will surely come back and surf more in Siargao.
In the caption of the post, he wrote: “Siargao, Stimpy’s, & 8 stitches to the head. Love this island- will be back for more.”
Conor Dwyer shared a photo of him and Kelsey Merrit after he obtained the injury. They are off to find a clinic to check his head injury. His Filipina girlfriend was always be his side.
Based on a report from GMA, the model was disappointed by the lack of hospitals near the island’s surfing spot.
General Luna, the island where he surfed has no hospital but it has a clinic and surfing instructors who had first aid training.
According to the report, doctors stated that the tourist who obtained severe injuries were rushed to the mainland where it has four hospitals.
“Ang sinasabing infirmary, walang surgical capabilties. But the hospital but…we have an operating room kaso lang wala nga kaming mga surgeon (at) anesthiologist”
Hopefully, the government will make a move regarding the matter considering lots of tourists will flock on this beautiful island.
