ERIK MATTI REACTION – The award-winning Director Erik Matti has this reaction when Liza Soberano withdraw from “Darna” due to finger injury.
Tearful, Liza Soberano was sad to announce of letting go the “Darna” role due to her finger injury which was caused during her “Bagani” days. She said, “I fractured my index finger, As in nadurogpoyungbuto… the top part and the bottom and also my joint so hindi ko posiya nagagalaw…”
ABS-CBN official statement about this indicated that they agree and respect her decision as it was her health which is at risk. Now, another selection process is being done in search for the next actress perfect to play the iconic role “Darna”.
The former “Darna” actress Angel Locsin also has this reaction, “Kung titignan mo yung post, makikita mo yung meaning. Hindi tungkol sa akin. Let’s show respect sa pinagdadaanan ni Liza ngayon. Salamat.”
Even one of the managers of Liza, Ogie Diaz, was saddened by the withdrawal of the actress as “Darna” is such a big project. And now, Erik Matti, who also resigned as the director of the film reacted to it. Matti resigned due to creative difference.
The director said, “Surprised to hear about [Liza Soberano] letting go of #Darna You would have been great for the part. I wish you all the best. Definitely, there’s life after Darna. Take care always, Hope. Don’t cry no more.”

It could have been a great epic counterparts. Liza is really perfect for the Darna role. I admire her bravery, honesty and sincerity for not doing it because she felt she will not give justice to it if she played it halfheartedly.
