ANGEL LOCSIN – The Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin addresses speculations of getting back the “Darna” role again after Liza Soberano’s withdrawal.
Unexpectedly, Liza Soberano tearfully announced recently that she is withdrawing from the project “Darna”. She fractured a bone o her right index finger which disabled her to do many things like gripping. Also, she fears that she might not give justice to the role as her movements will be limited because of her injury.
The original director of the film Erik Matti, who also left the project due to creative difference, expressed, “Surprised to hear about [Liza Soberano] letting go of #Darna You would have been great for the part. I wish you all the best. Definitely, there’s life after Darna. Take care always, Hope. Don’t cry no more.”
In a report from PUSH, it is still a “no” for the actress Angel Locsin to accept the role again. She will not accept the role again. She said, “Of course masaya ako sa pagmamahal na binigay nila, pero no.”
Moreover, she shared that Liza Soberano, after announcing of backing out from the project, messaged her and apologized to her. Locsin shared, “Nag-try ako mag-message sa kanya. Sagot niya, ‘Ate, I’m sorry’ Naawa ako sa kanya. Naramdaman ko kung gaano siya ka-devastated sa nangyari.”
She said that of all people who understand what Soberano is now feeling, it should be her. Although not having a finger injury, as much as anyone is aware, she also gave up the same project due to back injury. She wished that Liza is well now.
“Hindi kasi ito ang katapusan ng lahat for Liza eh, alam nating marami pang mangyayari. Sana hindi niya hayaang ma-define siya ng injury na ‘yan kasi marami pa siyang pwedeng i-offer,” she stated as per report.
