Corruption Allegation Leads To LTFRB Director Samuel Jardin Getting Suspended For 90 Days
LTFRB DIRECTOR – Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Executive Dir. Samuel Jardin is suspended for ninety (90) days.
The government agency tasked in issuing franchise to vehicles in the Philippines is the LTFRB. One of the top officials in the said government agency is Samuel Jardin.
Jardin is the executive director of the agency. It was in March 2018 when President Rodrigo Roa Duterte appointed him to the post.
Recently, a lot of people were surprised when news reports about his suspension crossed the surface.
Based on a recent report on Inquirer, LTFRB Director Samuel Jardin is suspended for 90 days due to corruption allegations. The suspension order was made by Department of Tourism (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade.
The LTFRB official allegedly received gifts from a transport operator in exchange of a franchise.
Based on the report, aside from the suspension, Jardin is also faced with “grave misconduct” charges over the alleged corruption.
