Unidentified Persons Shot Negros Oriental Board Member in Dumaguete
NEGROS ORIENTAL BOARD MEMBER – Still unidentified persons shot Miguel Dungog in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
Recently, several heartbreaking incidents are happening around the Philippines. A lot of individuals including politicians died due to these unfortunate incidents that are still being investigated.
One of the recent incidents involved Negros Oriental board member Miguel Dungog who was shot by unidentified persons in Dumaguete City. He did not survive the incident.
Based on a recent report on PhilStar, Dungog was about to park his vehicle in the Siliman University Medical Center compound when the incident happened.
According to the witnesses, the unidentified persons who shot the board member were wearing red jackets and black baseball caps. They allegedly managed to escape from the area aboard a motorcycle.
Based on the report, Dungog was an ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Oriental and also a former National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agent. He is also a board member candidate in the May 2019 election.
Currently, the authorities are still investigating the incident. A task force has been created under the directive of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
