Several parts of Metro Manila have previously suffered from shortage of water supply. It went on for days until it reached the office of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The 73-year-old President ordered the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) to demand water from the responsible offices for the people.

Pres. Duterte met with the officers of MWSS, Maynilad, and Manila Water. The Chief Executive even warned the MWSS to do their job or leave their posts. On the part of the MWSS, they are determined to fix the problem.

Based on the social media post of Inquirer on its official Facebook page, Manila Water President Ferdinand Dela Cruz expressed that they will “voluntarily waive” the April bill of the consumers.

According to Dela Cruz, their decision to voluntarily waive the consumers’ April bill is in line with their pursuit to “help ease the convenience” they have caused their consumers.
