The 16-year-old gruesome murder victim Christine Lee Silawan has been finally laid to rest nearly two weeks after her ‘barbaric death’.

Christine Lee Silawan has been the headlines of several local news outlets and social media pages after brutally killed in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

Silawan has been allegedly raped after the authorities found her half-naked with face partly skinned to the skull almost two weeks ago.

Around 1 pm on Saturday (March 23, 2019), Christine Lee Silawan has been finally laid to rest in Cordova, Cebu.

The Sto. Niño Parish in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City was filled with grief and emotion during the last funeral mass for the young lady.

Lourdes Silawan, the mother of Christine almost faint due to extreme sadness and depression brought by the untimely death of her daughter.

The 17-year-old boyfriend of Christine Silawan is the primary suspect on the gruesome murder.

However, the victim’s mother was not convinced that Christine’s former boyfriend did the crime alone but still hoping that all suspects would also fall soon.
