17-Year Old Suspect in Christine Silawan’s Death Nabbed by NBI

CHRISTINE SILAWAN – The NBI arrested the 17-year-old suspect in Christine Silawan’s ‘barbaric’ death.

Grade 9 student Christine Silawan was found dead in an open area in Lapu-Lapu City on March 10 Monday morning.

According to the autopsy report, she lost several major organs and obtained 20 stabbed wounds aside from her peeled of skin face.

Following a previous article, suspect of Christine Silawan’s persecution Jonas Bueno was arrested in Davao City on Friday, March 15.

Bueno was included on the list of suspect because he was guilty of slaying the 62-year-old farmer in Danao City similar to the ‘barbaric’ persecution of the young girl.

On Monday, March 18, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Regional Director Tomas Enrile nabbed the suspect of Christine Silawan’s gruesome death.

Based on a report from Cebu Daily News, the NBI director stated that they won’t be revealing the name of the suspect because he is a 17-year-old boy.

The police officers are currently preparing the documents to file a case against the minor.

According to the report, Tomas Enrile stated that nabbed suspect was seen together with Christine Silawan on the CCTV footage that they had retrieved.
