PAGASA issues yellow rainfall warning in this area for the tropical depression Chedeng

Chedeng Update — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issues yellow rainfall warning in this particular area.

The tropical depression entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday afternoon, March 17.

Signal number 1 was already raised in Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley, Davao del Sur, Davao City, Davao Occidental, Southern part of Davao del Norte including Samal Island, Eastern part of North Cotabato and Eastern part of Sarangani, based on an earlier report.

A recent update from PAGASA issued a rainfall warning to several areas in the country.

Yellow rainfall warning is raised in Surigao del Sur.

“FLOODING is POSSIBLE especially in low lying areas and along river channels and LANDSLIDES in mountainous areas.”

Scattered moderate to at times heavy rains are expected to happen in these areas:

  • Davao Oriental
  • Compostela Valley
  • Agusan del Sur
  • Northern portion of Davao del Norte
