Young students of Libertad National High School in Butuan City burned an effigy of the creepy Momo doll during their flag raising ceremony.
Last week, Momo challenge has become the headlines of several local news outlets and social media pages after it was linked to suicide cases.
Momo challenge was allegedly urging the young users to harm their self and eventually commit suicide as a part of the game.
Several lives of young people have gone after allegedly performing the tasks given by the mobile app.
The authorities have already warned the parents to take a closer monitoring on the online activity of their children.
Recently, a Twitter user named Maan Macapagal has uploaded the video footage of young students burning a Momo’s effigy.
In the video, it can be seen that the students and school personnel of Libertad National High School, Butuan City in Caraga region were burning a Momo effigy.
The school personnel and the young students celebrate and cheered after the creepy image has been burned hoping that the curse would end.
