Distribution of Pantawid Pasada Fuel Cards Extended Until February 28

PANTAWID PASADA FUEL CARDS – The distribution of the fuel cards to legitimate holders of the franchise of public utility jeepneys is extended until February 28, 2019.

The increasing price of oil causing the spike on the prices of fuel affects a lot of people nowadays most especially the drivers. Previously, an implementation of another fuel price increase began.

To aid the jeepney drivers and as well as the legitimate franchise holders of public utility jeepneys, the government has come up with a Pantawid Pasada Program.

Under the said program, fuel cards that could help the PUJ franchise holders and the jeepney drivers cope with the increasing price of fuel would be given away.

The distribution of the Pantawid Pasada fuel cards has already started. Based on a report on Manila Bulletin, it is extended by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) until February 28, 2019.

According to the report, the latest data showed that more than 87,000 fuel cards have already been distributed. The program targets a total of 173,000 beneficiaries in 2018.

Reportedly, the fuel cards contain Php 5,000 each for 2018. It was funded by the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law and was processed through the Land Bank of the Philippines.

Based on the report, for beneficiaries who won’t be able to claim their fuel cards personally, a notarized Special Power of Attorney (SPA) could be presented by a representative who will claim it.
