Class Suspensions on February 18, 19, 26, 27 in the Following Areas

Several local government units have declared class suspensions on February 18, 19, 26 and 27, 2019 in the following areas.

The Malacañang Palace has declared four additions special non-working holidays in some selected areas due to several important events.

Palace released four proclamations declaring February 18, 19, 26 and 27, 2019 as special non-working holidays.

Class Suspensions

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed the four new proclamations with the authority bestowed by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Here is the list of four new special holidays in some areas:

  • February 18, 2019 (Monday) – Class suspensions have been declared in the City of Bayawan in Negros Oriental in celebration of Tawo-Tawo Festival that reflects to the culture of the city based on Proclamation No.667.
  • February 19, 2019 (Tuesday) – a special non-working holiday was declared in Bago, Negros Occidental in celebration of its 53rd Charter Anniversary.
  • February 26, 2019 (Tuesday) – cancellation of classes was  proclaimed in the City of Zamboanga due to the celebration of its  82nd Charter Anniversary.
  • February 27, 2019 (Wednesday) – a special non-working holiday has been declared in General Santos City in celebration of the 30th Kalilangan Festival and 80th Founding Anniversary of the city based on Proclamation No. 670
