DPWD is Set To Conduct Road Repairs Along These Following Areas this Weekend
DPWH – The DPWH is set to conduct road repairs in these following areas in Metro Manila.
Metro Manila is considered one of the most densely populated cities in the world. The growth of the population in the city has increased over the years.
Aside from the people’s population, the count of the public and private vehicles are also increasing due to the economic growth of the country.
The increasing numbers of vehicles and their weight caused some destruction on the road. It’s not merrily the fault of the vehicle, but the constant use of the road will cause its early wreck.
The government recently announced that they will conduct repairs and reblocking on several locations in Manila.
Based on a report from Inquirer, the Department of Public Works and Highways announced today that several major roads in Metro Manila will be repaired.
The DPWH stated that the repair and reblocking will occur of February 8 (Friday) 11 am until February 11 (Monday) 5 am.
According to the report, the reblocking and repair will be on these following roads:
SOUTHBOUND
- C-5 Road after Lanuza Avenue before Bagong Ilog Flyover
- C-5 Road in front of SM Aura
- EDSA New York St., Monte de Piedad
NORTHBOUND
- EDSA Light Mall 1st Lane, Jollibee Service Road Megamall 2nd Lane
- Ramon Magsaysay Boulivard (to Quiapo) Ramon Magsaysay Bridge – Pureza Street
- EDSA facing Philippine College of Surgeons & facing Quezon City Academy *1st lane from the side walk
- Fairview Avenue Atherton to Regalaso Avenue North *1st lane from center island
Based on the report, the DPWH also stated that the water and waste services Maynilad will also have their repairs along Common Wealth Avenue this weekend.
The DPWH advised all the vehicle owners to avoid the mentioned roads and take the alternative routes instead.
