Deep Sea Creatures Found Dead in Iloilo & Camarines Sur
A Baleen whale has been found dead in Isla de Higantes in Carles, Iloilo while a lifeless dolphin has been recovered in Camarines Sur.
Iloilo City – a huge whale with a length of about 36 feet has been found dead in the coastal areas of the Isla de Higantes, Carles.
The whale living in the deep might went to shallow waters looking for prey but unfortunately for an unidentified reason.
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) turned over the preservation of the sea creature to the local government of Iloilo.
In another report, a dolphin has been found dead in the coastal waters of Magais Uno, Del Gallego in Camarines Sur.
The authorities were looking into the possibility that the dolphin was a victim of dynamite fishing due to its wounds and blood.
The dynamite fishing is already prohibited in the country but there are still some people who were violating the environmental law.
The local government was also making steps to impose corresponding sanctions towards the offenders.
