“Clash” Between PH Army-Abu Sayyaf Ongoing in Patikul, Sulu
PH ARMY-ABU SAYYAF – Currently, there is an ongoing “clash” between the members of the Philippine army and the Abu Sayyaf in Patikul, Sulu.
Undeniably, recently, a lot of alarming happenings took place in certain parts of the Philippines. A cathedral in Jolo, Sulu experienced twin “blasts” that led to the loss of lives on January 27, 2019.
The mass was ongoing when the first incident happened inside the church while the second one occurred at the gate area. The authorities were already securing the place when it happened.
The Jolo church incidents cost more than 20 lives and left more than 100 people wounded. The investigation is currently ongoing.
Just a few days after the twin “blasts”, another alarming incident is happening now in Sulu. Based on a report on CNN, members of the Philippine Army and the Abu-Sayyaf are in an encounter.
According to the report, the PH Army-Abu Sayyaf “clash” is ongoing. The military revealed that the Army’s Fifth Scout Ranger Battalion are in an encounter with around 100-150 members of Abu Sayyaf.
The encounter is currently happening at Barangay Kabuntakas in Patikul, Sulu.
